Parent Participation
Parents work at least 2 days and up to 4 days per month helping the teachers care for the children. (Our maximum class size is 24 children). Each parent is assigned a specific area or activity to supervise.
In Addition:
Membership Meeting
Parents are to attend membership meetings on a regular basis from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Attendance is mandatory.
Parent Education Meetings
Parents are to attend a minimum of two Parent Education Meetings per school year. Examples of some of our past Parent Education Meetings include kindergarten readiness, the importance of sensory integration for early childhood development and conflict resolution.
Fund raising
Parents participate in two large fund raising events per year, as well as smaller, ongoing money makers. The money earned from these events goes to improving the school.
The kids love it!
Service Hours
Throughout the school year, parents are responsible for fulfilling twenty-five hours of service to the school through various projects and basic upkeep.
Health records
Parents are to provide current health and emergency information. Working parents are required to have a current TB test.
Megan’s Law
Every year, we check each parent’s name in accordance with the Megan’s Law web site to help protect our children against sex offenders.
